As we celebrate the phasing out of the pandemic and we begin to venture out into our lovely San Diego nights may we make an indecent proposal- King and Queen Cantina in Downtown San Diego is the perfect kick-off of Latina Night Outs for this summer that promises to get hotter and hotter.
We discovered this gem that tantalizes our senses, this Cantina~ Restaurant~ Bar has everything on our list. Great food, fun drinks, colorful nostalgic Mexican ambiance and a fun-loving staff that will treat you and your friends like true Queens. With a collection of menus from food, brunch, drinks, wine and even candy you are bound to experience a whole new level of San Diego nights. Its creator Jorge Cueva, better known as Mr. Tempo has brought to life his wild and edible imagination with dishes like his “Pinches Tacos” and his “Japamex” choices, which include his “Hot Cheetos Roll” sushi roll. Drinks can play with you from his “No Mames Martini- Mango Habanero” to his “Mas Chingon Old Fashioned”, and for the romantica in the group they also have aguas frescas- our choice is the pomegranate. Desserts do not disappoint either, we recommend their deep fried ice cream, but then again can we ever go wrong with deep fried? Our favorite items are their chamoy based candies like their “Chamoy Cherry Bombs” which you can buy on site and eat on the spot or save for later. For a more intimate reconnect with your friends we recommend their weekend “Mas Desmadre Brunch”, the menu offers “Pancake Churros” and “Mimosa Flights”, a great combination to catch up on all the gossip.
Whichever way you choose to play it, night or day, you must experience KQC this summer and add it to your Latinas Night Out collection!
